Despite the defeat to Nashville, Monterrey still have one more game to play – they will face Philadelphia for third place on Sunday.

The seemingly endless nightmare of travelling across the US has not ended for Monterrey. The Pandilla have to pack their bags once again and fly to Philadelphia for the game to determine third place in the Leagues Cup. They will face the Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park on Sunday.
The 0-2 defeat to Nashville has left Fernando Ortiz and his pupils without any chance of lifting the trophy, so the game against Philadelphia becomes inconsequential for the royal team. Even more so because Rayados has already qualified for the 2024 Concacaf Champions League.
