According to Bengals' HC Zac Taylor, tightend C.J. Uzomah may yet be recover from his sprained knee in time for their Super Bowl showdown with the Rams.

If the Bengals are to continue the historic run all the way to a Super Bowl title, they will need every tool available. If their star TE can recover in time, that’s exactly the kinf of boost that they will want.

Bengals’ Uzomah could play in the Super Bowl

Though celebrations probably lasted well into the next day, when the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in dramatic fashion to clinch the AFC Championship, there was perhaps one souring factor. Tightend C.J. Uzomah was forced off the field due to injury. Yet according to comments from head coach Zac Taylor on Monday, what turned out to be a knee injury is showing “encouraging” signs of progress, such that there is the hope that one of their key players may yet play in the Super Bowl. Taylor disclosed the nature of the injury itself saying that Uzomah had suffered a MCL sprain in his left knee. “I don’t know anything further at this point but it seems to be encouraging initially,” Taylor said.
