tsbook operator Paddy Power Betfair has announced the appointment of two new CEOs to head up its European and Australian divisions.Dan Taylor has been appointed to the newly-created post of CEO for the company’s European operations and will be responsible for running Paddy Power and Betfair operations across all channels outside the United States.A veteran of the Paddy Power Betfair group, Taylor has previously managed Paddy Power’s retail operations, and most recently served as managing director of the group’s UK and Ireland operations.In the days other major appointment, Barni Evans has been appointed as CEO of Paddy Power Betfair’s Australian online betting division, Sportsbet, replacing current CEO Cormac Barry. The company have confirmed that while Barry will leave for a position outside of the gambling industry, he will stay on over the next few months to assist with the transition.In a statement, the Paddy Power Betfair board paid tribute to the outgoing Barry, saying it “would like to thank Cormac for his valuable contribution to the Group and wish him every success in his future career.”Evans most recently served as Sportsbet’s Chief Commercial Officer, having joined the business as Chief Marketing Officer in 2011.The appointment comes amid a change in leadership at the top of the Paddy Power Betfair group, with Peter Jackson officially assuming the CEO role and replacing Breon Corcoran earlier this week.
