International Game Technology (IGT) has been awarded a contract by the Ohio Lottery Commission to provide its Intelligen central monitoring system for video lottery terminals (VLT).
The contract – effective from 31 May 2024 to 30 June 2033 – was won through a competitive bidding process and includes an option for Ohio to renew the agreement for up to two additional one-year terms.
The agreement encompasses the provision of IGT’s Intelligen central monitoring system hardware and software, which will offer continuous monitoring and support for over 10,000 VLT machines.
These machines are currently distributed across seven racinos in Ohio: Belterra Park Cincinnati, Eldorado Scioto Downs, Jack Thistledown Racino, Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway, Hollywood Gaming Mahoning Valley Race Course, MGM Northfield Park and Miami Valley Gaming.
Commenting on the update, Nick Khin, IGT COO, Gaming, said: “We look forward to providing IGT’s leading VLT products and solutions to the Ohio Lottery Commission.
“Winning this highly competitive RFP process is a testament to IGT’s significant innovation, dedication to central monitoring systems, and the great team of professionals that continue to propel our success.”
Last month, IGT also secured a three-year extension of its contract with the Mississippi Lottery Corporation.
This extension saw the introduction of a mobile convenience app, 28 new self-service terminals and the Sales Wizard retail automation tool.
