The Greenbrier Resort’s private casino will feature FanDuel-branded sports betting from the resort itself, and via online services and applications.
“We are honoured to be chosen to provide sports wagering services at The Greenbrier, an iconic resort in the US,” FanDuel CEO, Matt King, said in a press release issued to Pro Football Talk.
“As we work towards building out a top sports betting product for the upcoming NFL season, we look forward to bringing West Virginia residents, sports fans, and visitors to The Greenbrier the best interactive sports experience on the market.”
West Virginia approved emergency betting regulations last week, which allowed sports betting at four public casinos in the state and at Greenbrier Resort. They are expected to go live before the beginning of the NFL season.
The news comes just a month after FanDuel announced a merger with UK operator Paddy Power Betfair. This deal is subject to the merger going through between PPB and FanDuel, which is reported to be completed as early as July.
