The licence, which has been approved by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE), is expected to commence operation at 1pm EST on 1 March 2022. It is also subject to the continued approval of all gambling products submitted by Elys for authorisation.
Michele Ciavarella, Executive Chairman, Elys Game Technology, commented: “We are very proud of our engineering and deployment teams at Odissea and US Bookmaking for developing and delivering the new sportsbook platform at Ocean on time, while meeting the rigorous standards of the NJDGE Technical Service Bureau.
“We plan to continue to work closely with the NJDGE in expanding our operational footprint and product diversification; and believe the soft launch today at Ocean is a key inflection point for our expansion in North America. It’s also a key component of our growth strategy within other casinos and partnerships with small businesses, as well as further development of the company’s mobile platforms in 2022.”
Elys, which provides technology solutions in the iGaming and online sports betting industry, provides betting odds on more than 150,000 events per year. Through its iGaming platform, operators can manage payment solutions, management dashboards and third-party integrations.
John Salerno, Director of Operations, US Bookmaking, said: “Atlantic City is one of the top sports betting and resort destinations in the country and Ocean is one of the most prestigious properties in the area.
“We are delighted to begin our commercial partnership today with Ocean and its professional leadership and operational teams, and we also look forward to bringing new and unique sports betting products to New Jersey players.”
US Bookmaking is a technology subsidiary of Elys, which acquired the company in September 2021. It provides a range of B2C operators with customised turnkey solutions in the sports betting industry.
