Affiliate Better Collective will aim to expand its sports content reach across Europe through the appointment of René Schrøder as Editor in Chief.

Schrøder has assumed the role of Editor in Chief, Europe, starting from 8 August 2023 at Better Collective’s Copenhagen headquarters.

He has experience in leading sports media editorial teams at companies like Ekstra Bladet, Viaplay and most recently, bold.dk, a Danish sports media outlet.

His previous role at bold.dk saw him playing a pivotal role in expanding the outlet’s presence across various media platforms, encompassing video, audio and social media.

In his new role, Schrøder will be responsible for overall editorial guidelines and content strategies for Better Collective’s local media brands.

Esben Skou Vinther, VP of Europe, Better Collective, said: “We are thrilled to announce the appointment of René Schrøder as Editor in Chief, Europe at Better Collective. The appointment reinforces our commitment to maintaining a position in the European market and delivering high-quality sports content to a broader audience.

“We look forward to witnessing the positive impact of his leadership as we continue to strengthen our European presence.”

I am eager to employ my experience from leading sports media editorial teams to drive Better Collective’s European sports media brands to new heights. I can’t wait to embark on this journey and make a significant impact in the world of sports media.”

Meanwhile, last month, Better Collective moved to a historic building at Skt Annae Plads in Copenhagen, Denmark from its landmark Toldbodgade buildings, where the headquarters have been for almost 14 years.
