Even when facing the most in-form side in the league, it is difficult to see beyond a Bayern win, given their total dominance of the Bundesliga this season
1) Both of these sides know how to shut out their opponents – Bayern Munich have the most clean sheets in the league with 21, whilst Bayer follow in 2nd place with 14.
2) In fact the Bavarians have conceded just 13 goals all season – shipping less than a goal every 2 games. They are 12/5 to continue that fantastic record on Saturday by shutting out Bayer.
3) However, Manuel Neuer may have work a bit harder than usual to earn his clean sheet – Leverkusen are the most in-form team in the league, and have won seven and drawn one of their last eight games.
4) Bayern Munich have lost just once on the road this season – and have won 11 of their 15 games away from the Allianz Arena.
5) Leverkusen have conceded 60% of their home goals in the first half, and so at 21/10 it is certainly worth backing the first 45 minutes to have the most goals.
6) With top scorer Arjen Robben out for the rest of the season and Robert Lewandowski suffering a fractured jaw and nose against Dortmund, responsibility for grabbing the goals falls on German superstar Thomas Müller. The He’s 11/2 to open the scoring at the BayArena.
7) Bayer Leverkusen have led at halftime in just five of their 15 home games this season – whilst their opponents on Saturday have led at halftime in nine of their 15 away games. Guardiola’s men are 9/4 to lead after 45 minutes on Saturday.
