She has over 20 years of experience in the gambling industry, across B2C and B2B, and is now tasked with ensuring the supplier can navigate the compliance, certification and licensing landscape.
Based at the company’s Latvian hub, her appointment comes as the group’s legal team aims to rapidly expand in line with the supplier’s commercial aims. It will also “further assist BETBY as it looks to expand in new jurisdictions, adding more licences to its regulated market portfolio,” a statement from the group read.
Ramolina commented: “I’ve been very lucky throughout my career so far to work for some fantastic companies, and I’m thrilled to be joining BETBY. An ambitious company with huge plans, it is set to offer some great opportunities and I look forward to being part of the journey.
“I am very passionate about my work and what I do, which aligns perfectly with the attitude at BETBY as we look to maximise our potential.”
It has been a busy month for the supplier, with the company last week partnering with Esports Entertainment Group to power its SportNation and Viebet brands. That followed the news that BETBY had agreed a deal with Hero Gaming, seeing the operator roll out the supplier’s solution across various territories worldwide. The appointment of Ramolina is the latest move from the group in 2022.
“We’re delighted to welcome Ilze to the BETBY team,” a spokesperson from BETBY said. “Boasting an incredible track record and great experience across all aspects of the gambling industry, we’re very hopeful that she can apply her expertise to allow us to reach new heights in regulated markets.”
