New Jersey’s preliminary results come after Nevada reported a record-breaking $180m in bets on this year’s Super Bowl, and lend further credence to pundits’ big pre-game expectations. Combined, the two state’s total handle comes to more than $320m.

GeoComply also recorded 80 million transactions over the Big Game weekend, representing a 226% increase from last year.

On Sunday 13 February, the Los Angeles Rams won Super Bowl LVI in a hard-fought match against the Cincinnati Bengals that resulted in a score of 23-20.

The teams competed for the Vince Lombardi Trophy in the Rams’ home arena, the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

During 2021, the US saw a surge in legal sports betting, both retail and online, with 30 states, plus Washington DC, currently hosting live sports wagering markets.
