FanDuel highlights Problem Gambling Awareness Month

First, FanDuel announced it would donate $100,000 to the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) to support the NCPG’s Agility Grants program.

Second, it will expand efforts to raise awareness through its responsible gaming ambassador program, which includes its brand ambassador Craig Carton undergoing a ‘Responsible Gaming College Tour.’

Thirdly, FanDuel will work with its professional sports team partners to raise awareness throughout March, including teams from the NBA and the PGA Golf Tour.

Finally, the company will encourage its players to use its responsible gambling resources for its online casino, sports betting, horseracing and daily fantasy sports play. Including tools such as deposit limits, wager limits, maximum wager size limits, time limits and time-outs.

Amy Howe, FanDuel Group CEO, said of the initiatives: “This March marks the 20th anniversary of Problem Gambling Awareness Month, and we will once again use this as a moment to demonstrate how FanDuel aims to set the standard for what it means to be a responsible operator. “

Meanwhile, Keith Whyte, NCPG Executive Director, said of the move: “FanDuel’s commitment to supporting a spectrum of services from problem gambling prevention to responsible gambling education is a reflection of their dedication to building a safe and sustainable gambling ecosystem.”

Lastly, Scott Kaufman-Ross, SVP and Head of Gaming & New Business Ventures for the NBA, added: “Prioritising responsible gambling efforts has been integral to our relationship with FanDuel from day one. Responsible gambling is a key pillar of our approach to legal sports betting, and we are grateful that FanDuel shares that vision.”
